Low Buns with Baseball Cap

I think a big part of the reason why I like to style hair so much is because I hate having my hair on my neck when it’s hot outside. I grew up in Vegas, and let me tell you, the summers were HOT! Anything I could do to keep my hair off my neck, I tried, and I still do the same thing. I have created 3 hairstyles for you to try this summer that I think you’ll love!

Hats are my best friend during the summer. I don’t have to worry about washing my hair and I can focus on playing with my kids. I think the 2 low buns add a really fun element to the hairstyle, helping me feel more put together without sacrificing the time.

Friend, let me tell you a little secret. I don’t think braids are ever going out of style. The way it’s styled will change from time to time, but I don’t think anything will replace the simple elegance of it. This style looks more complicated than it is, but it’s a matter of product and stretching the braid out that gives it it’s flair. Dress is up with a small scarf or transform it further by replacing the ponytail to a bun. I got this scarf a few years back from Denim & Daisy. I’ve seen scarves used in hairstyles for awhile now. I’ll be honest, I don’t think many people can pull it off. I feel like you need unnaturally long thick hair for it to look right proportionately, and most people can’t afford extensions. Ok, maybe that’s going a little too far, I can’t afford extensions. I’ve done a little experimenting and I’ve found a cute and simple way to use a scarf that I think all people can pull off.
