3 hair tools used to curl the hair.

Hey, friend! Are you ready to learn everything about curling? In the next couple of weeks, we are going to be talking about the different types of tools you can use to curl your hair, which tool will be best for your hair type, the different types of curls, how to achieve those curls, the direction to place the curl, you name it! In these few weeks, you’re going to feel more confident in curling your hair and creating the look you’ve always wanted. Let’s get started!!

When you curl your hair, there are 3 different tools that can be used. They are flat irons, curling irons, and hair wands. I personally like each tool for different reasons. A lot of it has to do with the type of hair that I’m working with, the look that I want to achieve, and the time I have to achieve it. Keep reading to find out more about each tool and what I really like about it.

Flat Iron- I feel like the flat iron helps you achieve multiple looks. How much you turn the tool and how fast you drag it through the hair can lead to endless possibilities. From a beautiful elegant wave, to a beachy- lived in look, and everything in between. I find that I use this tool the most in the salon as it works the best for most hair types.

Curling Iron- I love how curling irons come in different sizes and they allow me to really hone in to a specific look. When I’m going for an ultra-glam beauty look, I use a bigger curling iron. I use a smaller curling iron when I want to create a more natural looking curl. The difference is how the curling iron is used and how the look is finished. Curling Irons really allow me to customize the look that I want in a way that can’t be achieved by a flat iron or wand.

Wand- When using the wand, I find that it takes a lot of time to curl your hair. The time spent curling the hair can be worth it though. You’ll want to be mindful on how the hair is parted and using the tool the right way. I love to use this tool when I need a lot of texture in the hair for a pretty, elegant up style.

What tool do you usually gravitate to when curling your hair? Do you use multiple tools? Stay with me these next few weeks as we dive a little deeper into curling!
