5 Hairstyles to Try This Winter

I love seeing what’s in style when the seasons change, but I don’t always know how to translate that into everyday life. I want to be fun and stylish, but how do I make my hair functional? Well…I did a little research, and I wanted to share with you 5 trends that I think you’ll love!

Are you a FRIENDS fan? Well, this is for you. Remember Rachel’s perfect big bouncy curls? Yep, they’re making a comeback baby and I’m thrilled!!! While I still think there’s a place for beach waves, I think incorporating bigger curls (not straight) will be a fun way to change things up. You’ll get this by blow drying your hair with a round brush. (Video to come soon!)

Half up Ponytails will always be trendy, but consider putting the ponytial high and having is cascade towards the sides. It’s adds a fun and youthful side to it. Pair it with a fringe in the front and you’re golden! Use some texture spray or Powder Play to get some height. (Both links are affiliate links through Amazon)

You will see a lot of texture this winter, but you’ll also see a lot of sleek looks like this one. Use gel or mousse on dry hair to achieve this look. Adding a few accessories to the base of the hair will modernize the look as well. My favorite accessories are found at denimdaisystore.com. Use BRAKELL for a 15% discount.

Over the last few years, we’ve seen people pull fringe out on both sides of the hair. This season, try pulling one big tendril from the side. It’s adds a chic element to the hairstyle that would be perfect for date night, going to work, or for any occasion that calls for dressing up. Put a smoothing cream throughout the tendril to avoid frizz, static, and to help keep the shape. I personally can’t wait to try this out!

Now while this last picture isn’t a new hair style, I did want to share with you what I believe to be the haircut of the coming year. Layers with fringed bangs is making a come back! Remember me mentioning Rachel from FRIENDS? Not only is the style coming back, but her haircut is as well. I’ve been rockin’ some longer bangs for awhile now, and I LOVE them! You should give it a try.

Well, there you have it! Which one will you try first?
